Madeline Carsello joined Poly Prep as an Upper School science teacher in 2023. Since middle school, Madeline knew she wanted a career in physics. She then went on to earn her BS in physics at Fordham University. After graduating, she completed her master’s in 7-12 Physics Education while teaching high school physics at a charter school in Brooklyn for four years. She was eager to join the Poly physics team in 2023 and show students that physics is for everyone and can be found in all corners of life, not just in the lab. As a teacher, she hopes to ignite a passion for discovery and equip students with problem-solving skills that they’ll be able to apply beyond the physics classroom. In her free time, Madeline works as a talent buyer and promoter for musicians, comedians, and other performers around New York City and along the East Coast. When the weather is nice, she can be found in various green spaces trying to surround herself in nature as much as the city allows.
